Honoring those with Titles is a wonderful law of God
Lets talk about the good news and blessings. As per Deu 6:3-5 lets "speak of God's wonderful laws all the time, teach it thoroughly to our children etc.." Most talk only on the negative, speaking of all the curses which God has to punish His disobedient children with, if they have chosen Bolshevist murder, covetousness, rebellion and disobedience from His ordained Spiritual leaders.
We will celebrate what His law says numerous times in God's word, that word we are meditating in, and "delighting greatly in the good news of His law" , obeying in righteousness, rather than choosing the penalties and curses for those who reject the "walking in the spirit" walking in His law which is spiritual / eternal and good for ever (Rom 7:14 etc). He gave us the miraculous power of His Spirit now to obey and do, with more faith, more grace/charismatic gifts to do "greater works" than Christ did (Joh 14:12).
Honoring those with Titles is a wonderful law of God
1. Pastors and Spiritual Leaders
Jeremiah 3:15
"And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall feed you with knowledge and understanding."This verse emphasizes God's provision of pastors as spiritual leaders who guide with wisdom.
1 Timothy 5:17
"Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine."Elders (leaders or pastors) are to be honored, especially for their work in teaching and preaching.
Hebrews 13:17
"Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you."This calls for respect and obedience to spiritual leaders who are responsible for the care of souls.
1 Thessalonians 5:12-13
"And we beseech you, brethren, to know them which labour among you, and are over you in the Lord, and admonish you; and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake. And be at peace among yourselves."Spiritual leaders are to be esteemed and loved for their work.
2. Honor and Respect for Authority
Romans 13:7
"Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour."This verse establishes the principle of giving respect and honor where it is due.
1 Peter 2:17
"Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king."The verse highlights honoring both individuals and civil authorities.
Exodus 20:12
"Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee."Respect for parents is foundational and extends to all forms of rightful authority.
Proverbs 3:27
"Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it."This underscores the importance of giving honor or assistance to those who deserve it.
3. Titles of Lord and Master
Ephesians 6:5-9
"Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ."Servants are instructed to honor their earthly masters, reflecting respect for authority.
Colossians 3:22
"Servants, obey in all things your masters according to the flesh; not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God."A similar call to respect masters, grounded in reverence for God.
1 Peter 2:18
"Servants, be subject to your masters with all fear; not only to the good and gentle, but also to the froward."Even difficult leaders are to be respected.
Genesis 24:12
"And he said, O Lord God of my master Abraham, I pray thee, send me good speed this day, and shew kindness unto my master Abraham."Servants often referred to their employers as “master,” showing a tradition of respect.
4. Respect for Rulers and Kings
Romans 13:1-2
"Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation."Rulers and authorities are to be obeyed as they are ordained by God.
1 Samuel 24:6
"And he said unto his men, The Lord forbid that I should do this thing unto my master, the Lord's anointed, to stretch forth mine hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the Lord."David refused to harm King Saul, acknowledging his position as God’s anointed.
Proverbs 24:21
"My son, fear thou the Lord and the king: and meddle not with them that are given to change."Respect for both divine and earthly authority is encouraged.
5. Jesus on Honoring Others
Matthew 22:21
"Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's."Jesus teaches respect for civil authorities and fulfilling obligations.
Matthew 23:11-12
"But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted."While this verse emphasizes humility, it acknowledges roles of leadership and honor.
John 13:13
"Ye call me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am."Jesus accepts the titles of “Master” and “Lord,” affirming their rightful use when appropriate.
6. Honoring Prophets and Teachers
Matthew 10:41
"He that receiveth a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man’s reward."Prophets and righteous leaders are to be received and honored.
Galatians 6:6
"Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things."Acknowledging and honoring spiritual teachers is encouraged.
Some will say, well it depends if they're a good Pastor?
Even then when there were big crimes, it says clearly that even ArchAngel Michael never dared to challenge Satan with any "railing accusations" but only "YHWH rebuke you" (Jud 1:9), as it says "the callings of God are without repentance" (Rom 11:29). Even the worst evil only attacked under careful criteria, as the anointings can never be undone. This is why it says "all rebellion is withcraft"(1Sa 15:23) or worse than satan worship, because it has so many penalties and punishments attached to challenging His anointed authority (spiritual leaders).
