Just War Theory - TEMPLAR Commentary & Interview
Added with Response of, Templar Commander Dr Stephen MK d'Guelph Brunswick, Primace of St Andrew's OCC, Priory of Salem at the Ozarks.
I hereby offer my opinion which agrees on most of what's said, but places 3 or 4 categories of warfare. The primarily red-communist infiltration of what has become enemies domestic will try to hijack and mis-use what is said to
benefit or profit their foreign occupation, infiltration and insurrection tactics, so I think it's important to keep them in separate categories.
Nr 1. Responsive Just War is the main type of Just War. That's true that typically Israelites had a reason in the Bible, which were typically regardless of religion, color, creed etc (notwithstanding, the enemy knew their own identity and israel knew its identity which weren't ever subtracted in any portion of the war). Before such wars would kick off the reasons of injustices done against Israelites were listed. Actual crimes, and reasons were given in this type of war. However, Conquest vs War are still different matters. 1. Responsive wars true aren't based on their identity association whether it be creed, color etc. Such responsive just wars are yes for all the reasons highlighted in this presentation. Those are just tit vs tat (direct crime and direct response to said crime, and all of which would have injuries and damages listed).
2. Wars relative of Conquest (whether victim or aggressor), the rights to it are typically based on any identification criteria unlimited. Just like "freedom of association", a universal right worldwide, can be association or disassociation based on any rule, so much more would such rules of conquest be made. I think it's mainly under the conquest rules where Israel required kindred nations to pay tribute or all their males would be slain, and women taken as concubines. Otherwise, for non-kindred nations like Canaanites it says they must be utterly destroyed and not shown mercy. Conquest isn't a matter one man or group of men would initiate, but the whole nation understood it was vital, and everyone would be engaged in such larger conquest of such lands. Typially a whole national law change etc.
(Note: Often these rules will be for resources, national survival etc. In some cases, as Joshua said, the Canaanites would be our bread, as the "responsive war was launched".
So there are also combinations of Conquest and Just War.)
3. Dirty war of enemy infiltration, (enemies domestic, typically lead by foreign enemy nations) insurrection, and their belligerent occupation. These are more difficult to resolve, and would be repatriation to their homeland under treaties with their homeland, or else surrender of the enemies under valid peace treaties, (fully identifying both parties).
In our case of Templar, we are Christian and therefore are within the foundation of supporting law and order of Western Christian nations. However as a military wing that primarily protects holy Christian sites, our jurisdictions surrounding preceptories, as well as pilgrim paths to the holy land, and Temple site itself where Christ will return for Armageddon.
Yours in Christ
